Decatur-Mary C. Miller-McLean 94, daughter of Carl and Louise Craven passed away at Decatur Memorial
Hospital, May 8, 2016.

Mary was born in April of 1922, in Hinesboro, Illinois, and raised in Oakland, Illinois with three brothers and six

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, son Scott R. Miller, four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her children Sandra L. Fair of Mount Zion, Nancy A. Leming of Mount Zion and Mark W.
Spanhook of Decatur; her two brothers Fred Craven of Tolono, Illinois and Bill (Reba) Craven of Morton, Illinois.;
two sisters,  Helen Key of Jackson, Minnesota, and Phyllis Hermening of Madeira Beach, Florida; seven
grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and twenty-three nieces and nephews.

She was employed at J.C. Penny’s in the 1950’s, Cohn Furniture for thirteen years,Administrator of Lincoln Manor
South, owner and Administrator of Eastview Manor in Sullivan, Illinois for five years.

Mary was a member of the Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, and a former deacon.  She was a member of Ladies of
the Elks, Ladies of the Moose, Monarch Chapter of ABWA, Zonta International and PBW in Sullivan, Il.

After retiring Mary volunteered for CHELP in Decatur.  She also enjoyed traveling and growing flowering plants.  
Mary was a friend to everyone and highly respected in the community.

Mary’s family would like to thank the Staff at McKinley Court and Dr. Keith Smith for all of the tender love, care,
and support received during her stay.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 12, 2016 in Mount Zion Presbyterian Church,  with  Pastor
Mike Wakeland officiating.  Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 am on Thursday in the Church.  Luncheon will follow the
Funeral Service.
A Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. in Arcola Township Cemetery on Thursday May 12, 2016.

Memorial Donations may be made to Charity or Church of your choice.
