Ricky L. Singleton


Ricky “Rick” L. Singleton, 56, died Friday, April 8th, 2016 in his home. He transitioned peacefully in the presence
of family members.

Ricky is survived by his father, Roosevelt Singleton (Delores); daughter Deosha Singleton, sons Raymond Brown
(Charisse), Randy Singleton, Nicholas “Nick” Singleton, and Keenan Singleton; brothers Greg and Rocky
Singleton (Natalie), and sister, Kiesha Day (Bryan); seventeen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, special
niece Tiffany Beasley (Damien), special friends, Lisa Spates, Stan Woodley, and Ray Spates, and a host of family
and friends. Ricky was born in October of 1959, in Brownsville, Tennessee to the union of Roosevelt and Frankie
(Campbell) Singleton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Singleton, sister Anita Jarrett, brother,
Tony Singleton, son, Bobby Reed, and his great-granddaughter, Aria Evona Italy Peoples.

Rick was educated in Decatur Public Schools, and graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. Christian values
were instilled in him at a very early age, and he was reared in First Church of God in Christ.  He later became a
member of Christ Tabernacle. He was a devoted employee of ADM for thirty-eight years. Always a fun-loving guy,
he thoroughly enjoyed basketball games and telling jokes. His upbeat attitude and great humor will be deeply

At his request, a family-led Memorial Service Celebrating his life will be held at First Church of God in Christ,
Wednesday, April 13th beginning at 12 Noon.  Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family.
