Leola Sain, 86, of Decatur, departed this life on Monday, November 30, 2015, at McKinley Court Nursing Home.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday December 3, 2015 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 530 West Mound Road,
Decatur. Reverend Dr. C.D. Stuart will officiate. Burial will take place in Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00 noon
until the time of her service in the church. Memorials may be made in her honor to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and
Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Sain was born in January of 1929 to Neph and Hattie Spencer, in Hardeman County Tennessee. She married Lorenzia Sain in September of 1946. He
preceded her in death in January of 2015. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her five daughters: Ernestine Morris (Stan), Bettie Smith (Ralph), Nopie McEvoy (Patrick), Lorean Fragier (Mac), Carol Schmutzler (Don);
she was a mother to Eugene Childress. She is also survived by in-laws: Boast Sain (Jeanie), Sara Sain and Hullen Taylor, ten grandchildren, eighteen great
grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sain was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, six brothers, one great-great granddaughter, and her lifelong friend: Waudean Robinson.
Leola was the matriarch of our family, and her physical presence will be greatly missed, though she will live on in our hearts forever.
