Lauretta Maxine (Barrett) Murray, 91 of Decatur, IL., passed away at 4:25 pm Saturday Oct. 24, 2015 in Memorial Medical Center Springfield, IL. Services to
celebrate her life will be 6:00 pm Thursday Oct. 29, 2015 in West Decatur Church of God, Decatur, IL. with visitation two hours before services in the
church. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the donor’s choice. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the

She was born in June of 1924 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Russell & Jessie Barrett. She spent part of her childhood in Galva, IL, and Valparaiso, TX. As a
child of the great depression she had a greater appreciation for the smaller things in life.  She married Charles “Chuck” Murray Jr. in Oct. of 1941 and
together they had four children. She worked for the Tastee Bread Co. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, and most recently attended
Heartland Community Church of Decatur. She liked to sew and used to make all of her daughters dresses. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends
and looked forward to the holidays when all the grandchildren and great grandchildren and family would gather. She loved to cook and no went away from
her table hungry.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her Loving husband of 74 years, Charles “Chuck” Murray Jr., son Charles “Chuck” Murray III and wife Ella of
Monticello, KY., Katherine “Kitty” Hott of Decatur, IL., grandchildren, Scott Zinn, of Decatur, IL., Randy Zinn and wife Candy, of Decatur, IL., Brian Zinn
and wife Kelly, of Warrensburg, IL., Jennifer Lake of Decatur, IL., Kevin Leslie and wife Andi, of AK., Tammy Laughlin and husband Chris of Arthur, IL.,
Justinn Lander and husband Keith, of Nashville, TN., Michelle Court and husband Daniel, of West Palm Beach, FL., Marcus Hott, of Belvidere, IL., Carissa
Hayes and husband Greg of Mt. Zion, IL., twenty-nine great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Russell “Bud” Barrett Jr., daughters, Charlene Zinn-Lake and Aletha “Ali” Steffen, sons-in-law, John
Morey Jr., Marvin Lake, Robert “Bob” Steffen, and Leslie “Les” Hott.
