Kim was born in Decatur in November of 1965, the daughter of Paul J. and Margaret (Choate) Lanter. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant, and as a
Personal Health Care Assistant. She adored raising her three girls and loved her grandchildren dearly. Kim was the comedy relief of her own life, and she loved
making others smile. She truly enjoyed a good horror movie or anything with Johnny Depp, and she loved all things haunted, including Greenwood Cemetery
stories, and tales about Cabrini-Green. Kim was enjoying her empty nest, though hating menopause.
Kim is survived by her daughters: Angel Lanter (Shawn), Melissa Erhardt, Sara Erhardt (Tim); and seven grandchildren: Breonna, Justiss, Emma, Novella,
Macy, Jozzalyn, and Chance.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Rodger, Dennis, and Ronald.
Her sense of humor, her love, compassion, advice, and recipe swapping will truly be missed.
