Richard Dean Morse, 67 of Decatur died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday May 19, 2015 in his residence.
Graveside services celebrating his life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday June 5, 2015 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton, IL, with the Macon County Honor
Guard providing Military Rites. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Macon County Honor Guard. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and
Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Richard was born in September of 1947 in Decatur son of Richard R. and Betty J. Morse. He was raised by his uncle Harry Morse. He served in the U. S. Navy
during the Viet Nam War aboard the U. S. Kitty Hawk. Richard was a over the road trucker and worked for Warner Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and
camping, and loved country music. He married Linda Dufrane in 1974.
Surviving is his step-son, Tony Dufrane of Pewaukee, WI, former wife, Linda Morse, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend, Charles DeBerry, caregivers,
cousin Nancy Cecil, niece Jennifer Long.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-son, Billy Joe DuFrane, step brothers, Bobby Dotson and Ron Trent, special cousin, Jean Morse.
