Sharon K. Scheibly, 68, of Decatur, died at 6:40 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loved ones, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in May of 1946, to the late Ginther and Wilma Moldenhauer. Sharon
was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had been employed at Federal Kemper Insurance and recently retired from The Woods at Millikin.
Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, her best friend Roxanne, her card group, and going on her annual "cousins" trip.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Christina and husband Todd Clark of Forsyth; son, Jeff and wife Missy Scheibly of Decatur; six grandchildren: Conner
Calhoun, Nicholas Scheibly, Marissa Calhoun, Tucker Clark, Olivia Scheibly, and Zoey Clark. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Rick Stark; nephews:
Stark, Jr., Dan Stark; and niece, Jane (Brian) Schumaker; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy.
An private family burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, followed by visitation and a Celebration of Life
service starting at 5:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1960 E. Johns Ave, Decatur, for all her family and friends. Memorials: Trinity Lutheran Church or
Cancer Care Specialists of Decatur.
