Randell “Scott” Ewing, 45, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Decatur, died suddenly at 3:45 am Sunday, February 22, 2015, as a result of vehicular injury.
A graveside service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Zion. Memorials may be made to
his family. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service & Care is in charge of arrangements.
Scott was born in July of 1969, in Decatur, IL, the son of Randy Ewing and Sherry DeHaven.
Scott is survived by his special partner, Cheryl Muzzarelli, his father, Randy (Debra) Ewing of Decatur; his mother, Sherry DeHaven of Quincy; sisters: Tammy
Doane of Quincy and Christal (Zach) Little of Decatur; brothers: Steve (Summer) Ewing of Warrensburg, and Randy “George”(Ashley) Ewing of Decatur; four
nieces: Shelby, Jessica, Addie, and Lexi; and five nephews: Dalton, Dakota, Tristen, T.J., and Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sarah Ewing, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Scott was a talented bowler, and he loved shooting pool, he was excellent at cards, and he enjoyed singing karaoke. He worked hard in construction as a roofer
and a carpet layer. Scott genuinely loved life, and was a fun person to be with. He will be dearly missed.
