SCHROEDER

William Dean “Bill” Schroeder, age 88 of Decatur died at 7:54 pm. Tuesday, January 8,
2019 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Graveside service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday, January 11, 2019
in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 am. to 1;30 pm. Friday at Grace
Baptist Church (3770 North Water Street Decatur, Illinois 62526). If desired memorials
may be made to Rock Springs Nature Center (3939 Neering Lane Decatur, Illinois
62521). Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Bill was born in August of 1930 in White Hall, Illinois son of William W. and Carrie
Schroeder. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Bill worked for Grigoleit
Company from 1957 to 1993. He was an avid fisherman and member of the Muskie Club.
He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. Bill married Barbara Davis
in April of 1955.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, children, Nancy (Bob) Roth of Decatur, Ricky (Leslie)
Schroeder of Waverly, TN.,  Judi (Pat) Freeman of Hadley, MN.,  Vicky (Ron) Margolis
of St. Louis, MO., eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, sisters, Shirley
Berg of Virden, IL., Carol McEvers of Winchester, IL., Edith Cooper of White Hall, IL.,
brothers, Gary Schroeder of Florida and David Schroeder of Jerseyville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
