Lawrence Edward “Larry” Watkins, 76 of Decatur died at 5:32 a.m. Tuesday
December 15, 2015 in his residence.

A visitation will be held on Monday December 21, 2015 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
to 12:00 noon at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Graveside service will follow at
1:00 p.m. in Camp Butler National Cemetery Riverton, IL. Memorials may be
made to his family. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the

Larry was born August 1939 in Shawnee town, IL., son of Marley and Minnie  
Watkins. He worked for the Local Laborers Union Hall #159. Larry served in the
U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and
country music. He married Sylvia Keller in 1984.

Surviving are his wife; Sylvia, son; Anthony “Todd” Watkins, brother; Robert
(Lois) Watkins, of Decatur niece; Monica Probus of Blue Mound, grandchildren;
Jaime Chandler, Zach Strode, Kaydon, Wyatt and Joslynn Friend, great
grandchildren; Samuel, Christian and Brantley, great nephews; Colton and Riley,
his beloved dog; Sparky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Edward C. Watkins,
granddaughter; Felecia Strode and dog; Champ.

Larry was a great husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be deeply
