Memorials:
To the Family in Care of Gidgetta Moore

MOORE

Mathew John Moore, 41, of Decatur, Illinois, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 12, 2016.

Mat was born in Decatur, Illinois in November of 1974. He was a 1993 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. Mat
was employed at Parke Warehouse, Building #9, and was a member of the Teamsters Union #279. Mat married the
love of his life, Gidgetta, in July of 2005.

Mat had an infectious laugh that was contagious. He was ornery and playful, loved all types of music and was a
talented craftsman who dedicated time to making wood projects. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his
family, especially his grandson, Hunter John Pierce. He was extremely supportive and proud of his daughters, Aesha
and Briana, whom he loved very much. Mat was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a collector of Donald Duck and
Super Hero memorabilia.

Mat was a very loving son, brother and uncle who grew up with his nieces and nephews. He had a special place in his
heart for all of them. Mat had a beautiful smile that lit up a room. He was a hard worker always willing to help anyone
in need.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife, Gidgetta; daughters, Aesha Bunch and Briana Roe; grandson, Hunter Pierce;
mother, Bonnie (Ruby) Moore; sister, Sherri (J.D.) Miller;  brother, Shon (Melanie) Moore; grandmother,      Alice
Stathers; in-laws, David and Kathryn Crisman and Jeff and Sonya Walker, and a host of nieces, nephews, many
cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Moore; grandparents, Roy E. Moore, Sr., Loraine Moore, Earl
Stathers, and his uncle, Roy E. Moore, Jr.

A family led memorial service to celebrate Mat’s life will be held  Monday, September 19, 2016 at 7:00 pm,
Rennaissance Church (456 N. Water St., Decatur), with Pastor Jeff Watts officiating. The family will receive friends
beginning at 5:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the family in care of Gidgetta
Moore. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.TLCelebratingeverylife.com.

The family would like to thank our wonderful friends for their outpouring of prayers, love and support, and a special
