David Edward Reynolds
1947 - 2015

David Edward "David Eddie" Reynolds, 67, of Decatur, IL passed away Tuesday, March 10th, 2015 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

David was born in July of 1947 in Decatur, IL.  He was the son of Esther and Edward Reynolds. He proudly served his country in the US Navy between 1968
and 1972 during the Vietnam war, where he was exposed to Agent Orange.

He married Vicki Cheryl Baker, the love of his life, in January of 1974 in Decatur, IL, and they were blessed with two wonderful sons, Eric and Cory.

David was a graduate of Lakeview High School in 1965.  He worked at the United States Postal Service for 30 years as a letter carrier and distribution clerk
before retiring in 1996.

David Eddie enjoyed being outdoors and listening to his rock and roll music while working in his yard riding his John Deere tractor, woodworking and puzzles.
He also enjoyed watching sports and playing ball with his grandsons.  He was a devout husband and father, attending all of his sons sporting events come rain or
shine.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Decatur, IL.

His will to live and his genuine character was shown in his work ethic as well as his morals, integrity and strength.  He was a wonderful son, husband, father,
grandfather, uncle, brother and special friend to everyone who was blessed to know him.

His wonderful example of courage and inner-strength have taught his family to always have faith and hope for each new day.  He will always be remembered
for his gentle spirit, bravery and fun-loving personality.

Our wonderful David, over the years, earned his wings and now is flying with the Angels and celebrating with our Lord and Saviour.

Surviving him are his wife, Vicki, sons Eric (Monica) and Cory (Ginger), grandsons Colton and Isaac, of Decatur, sister Vera Nauta of Tuscola, along with many
special family members, and all of his beloved Boxers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joe Reynolds and many other special relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to Dr. John Waters and Dr. Keith Smith, DMH Hospice, his fabulous nurse/friend Susan Ainsworth, special
