Wilma Louise Leach, 96, died Monday, November 30, 2015 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A Visitation with her family and friends will be Friday evening, December 4, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm at First Christian Church (3350 N MacArthur Rd). A
funeral service celebrating Wilma’s life will be Saturday morning, December 5, 2015 at 10 am, also at the church. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery.

Wilma was born in Assumption, Illinois in July of 1919, the daughter of Ralph and Chloe (Dill) Mohr. She graduated from Decatur High School and then took a
job as an operator for Bell Telephone in downtown Decatur. She met her future husband at the local roller skating rink, and married Irvin C. “Bud” Leach in
March of 1942. Bud was in the military when they were first married. After the war, they settled in Decatur where they raised two children, Richard and
Cheryl. Wilma was an artist, a member of the China Painter’s Guild. She enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing and playing cards (Skip-Bo). She belonged to the
Friendly Bible Class at First Christian Church, and was the oldest living member of the church.
Surviving family are son Rick (Lisa), and daughter Cheryl (David) Banning, grandchildren: Kimberly Banning, Tim Leach (Ingrid), Sarah Frazier (Mike), great-
grandchildren Elsie Leach and Matilda Leach. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded by her husband, parents, sisters Helen Tisinger, Edythe Frandsen, Corinne Walton, Maude Mohr, and Violet Stanley.
