1980 - 2015

Justin Lee Baker, 34, of Shelbyville, passed unexpectedly in a car accident at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1 Bachrach, Decatur. Pastor Wray
Offermann will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, from 5 – 8 p.m., also at the church. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery,
Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to Meghan Baker & Family at any Land of Lincoln Credit Union or any Busey Bank. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service &
Care is in charge of arrangements.

Justin was born in September of 1980, in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Danny Baker and Brenda Hennigh. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1998.
He then earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Religion from McMurray College in Jacksonville in 2002. Justin worked for Johnston’s IGA, County
Market, and Kroger. He began as a stock boy, worked his way up through numerous positions and promotions to assistant manager, and finally manager at
Kroger in Fairview Plaza. Justin was united in marriage with Meghan Bollhorst in November of 2014. He was a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, comic books, and
the St. Louis Cardinals. Justin was a kind, caring man of faith, and he went out of his way to help others. He was a loving husband and a great dad to Autumn and
Landen.

In addition to his wife Meghan, Justin is survived by their children Autumn and Landen; his father, Danny Baker; his mom, Brenda Hennigh (Tom); brother,
Adam (Samantha) Baker, Sam Baker, and Cody Hennigh, and sister, Cameron Hennigh; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mick (Sue) Bollhorst; grandmother,
Mardelle Lucas; sister-in-law, Rachel (Derick) Zacker; numerous cousins, nieces, two nephews, Noah Baker and Luke Baker, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sabrina Baker; paternal grandparents, Hal and Dorothy Baker; and maternal grandfather, Merle Lucas.

Justin’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the South Macon Fire Department, Warrensburg Fire Department, and all of Kroger Stores in District
7.
