Peggy J. Elliott, 81, of Macon, Illinois, passed away at 4:15a.m., Monday, February 9, 2015.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 14, 2015, with a visitation from 10:00 until noon, all at Maranatha Assembly of God,
555 W. Imboden Dr., Decatur, IL. Pastor Doug Lowery will officiate. Burial will take place at Mound Cemetery in Cowden. Memorials may be made to:

Peggy was born in Graham, Oklahoma in August of 1933. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and continued on to receive a degree in nursing.
She enjoyed being in the choir and working with the drama department at Maranatha Assembly of God. Peggy was loved by many and she was a friend to
everyone who knew her. She enjoyed baking cookies and giving them to friends, businesses, and strangers who came to her door. Peggy worked as a nurse at
St. Mary’s Hospital, she was the Nurse for the Macon County Jail, and she worked for Dr. Miller, Dr. Scribner, Dr. Mathias, and Dr. Fiscus. Peggy was married
to James W. McNeely, Sr. in 1952, and later married to Milton David Elliott in 1984. Both husbands preceded her in death.
Peggy is survived by her sister: Billye (Phil) Perry; son, James W. (Cheryl) McNeely, Jr.; son, Paul T. (Becky) McNeely; daughter, Diana K. (Mark) Aufrecht;
stepson Mark Elliott; stepdaughter, Debra (Dan) Crain; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alice Deaton; her sisters: Maye Lockhart and Beth Frederick; her
brothers: Frank, Homer, Edone, Arthur, Ernest, and Ray Deaton; and one step-son, Keith Elliott.
Peggy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by all the hearts she touched.
