Edith Marie “Edie” Teubner, 87, of Decatur died at 4:38 pm. Thursday, January 8, 2015, in Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:30 am. Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1 Bachrach Court, Decatur. Visitation
will be one hour before service time at the church. Pastor Wray Offermann will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery Decatur. Memorials may
be made in lieu of flowers to the Macon County Humane Society. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Edith was born in September of 1927 in Springfield, IL., daughter of John and Luella Dowllar. Edith worked for Sangamo Electirc of Springfield, IL., and then
as a factory worker for G.E., Borg Warner Marvel Scheibler Division and later worked in the day care field. She married William Adolph Teubner in July of
1946. He preceded her in death in April of 1986.
She is survived by her children; William D. Teubner, Alice M. Weaver and Tammy L. Peer, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and
twelve great-great grandchildren, brother Arthur Dowllar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two step-daughters; Joanna Peacock and Anita Huff and four sisters; Betty Simmons and Vera Creason,
Alice Goodall, Mary Hughes.
Edith was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who will be deeply missed.
